The XII Biennale presents works by 46 invited artists: the Scientific Committee has selected some of the leading exponents of contemporary Italian engraving and numerous young engravers identified at the various national Academies of Fine Arts.
Each participant will exhibit one to two works, for a total of 78 works on display in two rooms of the Circolo Sannitico in Campobasso.
The exhibition is accessible from the ground floor, with entrance from Piazza Gabriele Pepe, and is laid out in the two rooms reached through the main door.

The artistic direction of the XII Biennale is in the hands of Prof. Maria Antonella Fusco, art historian and museologist, and President of the Scientific Committee of the Associazione Domenico Fratianni. A Ministry of Culture official from 1980, she directed the Museo Pignatelli Cortes in Naples and, from 1998 to 2008, the Centro per i servizi educativi del museo e del territorio (S’ed). From 2009 to 2019 she was director of the Istituto centrale per la grafica, which she endowed with an educational museum and brought to autonomy. She taught History and Technique of Photography at Suor Orsola Benincasa in Naples (1994-2014) and is the author of studies on the nineteenth century, popular iconography, historical photography and Italian Orientalism.
